My muffin tin Christmas countdown calendar is not as colorful and refined as many of the muffin tin Advent calendars that I have seen. But I am really excited about it!

I cut circles out of some of the magnet calendars that I am mailing to my clients this holiday season, and spray painted the circles with green chalk board paint. I used chalk to write numbers on each magnet, filled the 24 holes in my mini cupcake pan with little treats and toys, then covered the holes with the magnets.

My grandkids will uncover one surprise each day as the Christmas countdown progresses. Once they have gathered their treat for that day, they can erase the number and decorate the circles as tree ornaments (or whatever else they want to draw).

I hope their mommies don't see this before next Tuesday, as I just got it put in the mail today! But I hope more of you have fun making a mini muffin tin Advent calendar or Christmas countdown calendar for your little ones!
